The Young Gun

David McGuinty is one of a few new leadership candidates that are being rumoured lately. At age 45, he certainly has the youth and energy to serve in opposition for a number of years (if need be) before he has an opportunity to become Prime Minister.

David McGuinty is the MP for Ottawa South and is brother of Ontario premier Dalton McGuinty. His organization in Ontario would certainly be impressive but would have to build a national team quickly. His credentials and experience are again impressive but his national name recognition is probably not where it needs to be.
